Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan
endorsed Bob McCann for State Representative,
District 67.
“Bob McCann’s experience, readiness and
philosophy are impressive,” said Commissioner
Ken Hagan. “Bob is very knowledgeable about the
issues our state is confronting and ways we can
get our economy back on track. He believes as I
do in running government efficiently and
sensibly.”
“I look forward to working with Commissioner
Hagan to build a stronger bridge between state
and local efforts to restart the economy and
create jobs,” said Bob McCann.
Commissioner Ken Hagan is the most recent
addition to a growing list of McCann supporters
including former State Senator John Grant,
Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe and
Representatives Ed Homan and Ronald “Doc”
Renuart.
Ken Hagan, lifelong resident of Hillsborough
County, was first elected to the Board of County
Commissioners in 2002 and elected chairman of
the Board in 2007.
Bob McCann lives in Bradenton with his wife
Rosemarie. Bob McCann is a native of Chicago and
served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 through 1979.
After completing his naval service, he attended
college on the G.I. Bill and went on to graduate
from medical school at Kirksville College of
Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri in
1988.
In addition to being a practicing emergency room
physician, Bob serves as an adjunct professor of
family medicine at LECOM-Bradenton (Lake Erie
College of Osteopathic Medicine) and is also a
practicing attorney working in the area of
medical laws.
State House District 67 covers southern
Hillsborough County as well as eastern Manatee
and Sarasota Counties and will be open in 2010.
Bob McCann is a registered Republican.
